YOUR ULTIMATE BOUDOIR SESSION CHECKLIST: EVERYTHING YOU NEED FOR A SUCCESSFUL SHOOT

Updated: Dec 15, 2024

1. Wardrobe Essentials

  • Lingerie sets (including bras, panties, and matching sets)

  • Bralettes and panties

  • Bodysuits and teddies

  • Robes or cover-ups

  • Stockings or thigh-highs

  • Garter belts

  • Accessories (jewelry, heels, hairpieces)

2. Hair and Makeup Prep

  • Schedule a hair appointment for a fresh cut, color touch-up, or styling. If coloring hair please do so at least 7 days before the session for water sets to avoid running color on skin.

  • Communicate with our makeup artist about your desired look and any specific preferences or leave it up to us if you are unsure of the look you would to emulate. Morgan knows her shit. You can absolutely trust her judgement.

3. Skin Care and Beauty Prep

  • Exfoliate and moisturize your skin to ensure a smooth and glowing complexion.

  • Avoid excessive sun exposure or tanning beds to prevent unwanted tan lines. I am not opposed to tans, but if you do not want uneven skin tones in your images (tan lines) try to be careful with tans.

  • Wax or shave any areas you prefer to be hair-free before your session.

  • Drink plenty of water and get plenty of rest in the days leading up to your shoot.

4. Pre-Session Preparation

  • Communicate with us about your vision, preferences, and any concerns.

  • Pack your wardrobe options, accessories, and beauty essentials in a suitcase or bag for easy transport.

  • Arrive at the studio or location with plenty of time to spare to ensure a relaxed and stress- free session. If you are running more than 15 minutes late for your session, we may have to reschedule due to schedules. Please allow yourself enough time to travel to the studios.

  • Bring any props or personal items you'd like to incorporate into your shoot (e.g., a favorite book, bouquet of flowers, or sentimental jewelry). I am not very “proppy” but I will incorporate special items into your session if you wish.

5. Mindset and Confidence Boosters

  • Practice positive affirmations and self-love leading up to your session.

  • Remind yourself that you are beautiful, confident, and worthy of celebrating your unique beauty.

  • Take deep breaths and visualize yourself feeling empowered and radiant during your shoot.

  • Surround yourself with supportive friends or loved ones who uplift and encourage you.

6. Post-Session Care

  • Communicate with our team about your preferences for image selection, editing, and delivery.

  • Take time to review and savor your images, celebrating your beauty and confidence captured on camera.

  • Share your images with friends, loved ones, or on social media if you feel comfortable doing so.

  • Consider scheduling a follow-up session or booking a future shoot to continue celebrating your journey of self-love and empowerment. This is my favorite and I take great pride in this. We have a high return client rate.
