A Whole New Vibe Is Coming This Fall (yes, even for 13 year olds).
We are officially kicking off a brand-new adventure at the studio this fall, and I am so excited I can barely keep it in!
If you’ve been following along, you know I’m all about growth, transformation, and creating images that actually feel alive. This season, we are expanding our visual playground to bring something completely fresh, bold, and non-traditional to our area.
Whether we’re capturing your rawest confidence or your biggest wins, here is what’s on the menu (and yes, I put it in alphabetical order for my own sanity):
Boudoir. Branding. Editorial. Headshots.Seniors. Sports (AKA "Sportraiture")
Expanding the Horizon: Adding Studio Strobes to the Magic
If you know me, you know how much I love natural light, it's soft, flattering, and timeless, and that isn't going anywhere! But as an artist, I'm always looking for ways to push my creative boundaries and give my clients something extra.
Enter: strobe lighting.
I’ve been diving deep into mastering studio strobes to broaden my horizons and bring a totally new dimension to our sessions. While natural light gives us that effortless, organic glow, strobe lighting allows us to dial up the drama, control the mood, and create bold, high-contrast imagery that looks like it belongs on a magazine cover or a professional media day campaign.
It’s not about replacing what we already do, instead it’s about giving you even more ways to get creative and celebrate you!
The Ultimate Litmus Test: Josh & The Guys
To put this new lighting setup to the test, I hosted a practice session with Josh and his teammates ( his best friends). Now, let’s be completely real: getting a group of 13-year-old boys excited about sitting in front of a camera is usually like pulling teeth. They expect it to be awkward, stiff, and boring.
So, we completely threw out the traditional rulebook.
We cranked the energy, turned on the strobes, and made the whole session feel like a professional athlete's media day shoot. Instead of telling them to "stand still and smile," we focused on real movement, hyping each other up, running through play-action poses, and letting their natural camaraderie and personalities completely take over the room.
The result? Absolute magic as far as fun went. I still have a lot of practicing to do with the lights lol.
They were laughing, competing for the best shot, giving me posing ideas, and completely stepping into their power. When 13-year-old boys leave a photo session asking when they get to do it again, you know you’ve tapped into something special. And I fully embraced it and fell in love with it immediately.

Stepping Into Your Main Character Era
Whether we’re dialing up the drama for a dynamic Sportraiture shoot, planning for your child's graduation year, or capturing your personal power in your brand or boudoir session, this new chapter is all about you. No stiff poses. No boring, flat lighting. Just raw, movement-filled, unforgettable portraiture.
We are officially opening up the books for our fall roster soon. I just have to get a little more practice in first.
More Information is coming soon!
Check out some of the fun we had with Josh and his friends. Its going to get better but the experience was a hella good time lol
